Speaker Bio:

Andrew de Ruiter is the Founder and President of TerrAssure Underwriting Solutions, Canada's first insurance company dedicated exclusively to environmental liability insurance. With more than 20 years in specializing in environmental insurance, Andrew has worked with brokers, consultants, contractors, municipalities, and businesses across Canada to help identify, understand, and manage complex environmental risks.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Economics, along with both the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. Andrew is passionate about making environmental risk more understandable and helping organizations think differently about the long-term consequences of today's decisions. Through TerrAssure, he is focused on bringing modern technology, specialized expertise, and innovative underwriting solutions to the Canadian insurance market.
