THIS IS THE ONE YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

Get ready to roll-up your sleeves in this interactive, hands-on learning opportunity designed to give you the tools you need to operate under the new Saskatchewan Environmental Code.

Two days of hands-on programming designed for the people on the front lines of environmental stewardship in Saskatchewan! Featuring how-to presentations by key Ministry of Environment staff, AND a field equipment workshop by Maxxam.

The Ministry of Environment is implementing a results-based regulatory (RBR) model to help achieve its vision of providing public service excellence in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable use of natural resources to enhance economic and social benefits.

Under the new model, the ministry defines the expected environmental outcomes but leaves the specific methods on how to achieve those outcomes up to the regulated community.  To support the RBR model, the ministry has made legislative changes, reallocated resources and invested in information technology and management.  At the heart of the legislative framework supporting RBR is the Saskatchewan Environmental Code.

This workshop provides a detailed look at working with impacted sites under the new code and associated regulations, standards and acts as well as managing water and waste issues and industrial source air pollution.  Also included is an introduction to the ministry’s new online business portal and its compliance and enforcement plan.

Continuing education credit certificates will be issued!

SEIMA AND SASTT MEMBERS! You will have received a special registration code that entitles you to a discounted registration fee.  If you do not have it, contact your member organization.
