SUSTAINTECH 2018

SEIMA is pleased to announce that the 2018 SustainTech Conference will be held Thursday March 22, 2018 at the Radisson Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

SustainTech continues to be a well-attended conference that promotes sustainability and environmental responsibility and brings together industry, academia, consultants, and regulators to share ideas on new developments and technologies that help us make a better and more sustainable world.

The conference highlights the latest environmental practices and technologies from industry, consultants, and regulators to address sustainability issues over the lifecycle of Saskatchewan's principal resource sectors, including: agriculture, mining, and oil and gas.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

SEIMA is now accepting technical abstracts focused in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Regulatory issues
  • Remediation
  • Reclamation
  • Clean technologies
  • Water technologies
  • Low impact development
  • Environmental considerations in the extraction of natural resources
  • Sustainable technologies for industry
  • Sustainable energy technologies
  • Oil and gas development
  • Facility operations, industrial issues and technologies
  • Protection and sustainable management of water resources
  • Pipeline development

The deadline for submission of abstracts is December 18, 2017. Abstracts should be no longer that 500 words (not including bio), should include a presenter biography and be submitted as a PDF.

SEIMA‚Äôs first SustainTech saw over 150 participants and 18 technical presentations. SustainTech 2016 welcomed 180 participants and 24 technical presentations and 2017 saw a significant increase in participants from out of province.   With the renewed optimism in Western Canada we are looking forward to SustainTech in 2018.  Register now, as spaces are expected to fill quickly.
