A brownfield is
an abandoned, vacant, derelict or underutilized property that may have actual
or perceived contamination and has a potential for redevelopment. The
Brownfield Renewal Strategy aims to facilitate brownfield redevelopment through
the implementation of policy and programs that will alleviate and reduce the
incremental barriers to brownfield development.
On February 13,
we would like to hear your ideas and gather your feedback about the direction,
options and ideas we are considering to include within future Brownfield Policy
and Programs. We are facilitating an engagement event to advance key planning
and development directions by considering questions like:
- What are the key barriers to
- What ideas should be included
in a brownfield policy?
- What sort of support would you
like to see provided regarding brownfields?
- What provisions should be
included in a future brownfield interim use policy?
- What incentives would drive
Please note that this event is
meant to be for invited stakeholders or their representatives only, as it is
technical in nature and not intended for the general public.

We are offering two workshop options so to better fit your schedule.
Each session will be the same, each consisting of introductory information and
descriptions of the project, followed with table-top breakout sessions. Please

8, 2019 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, with the
inclusion of which workshop best suits your schedule.
If you are
unable to attend either workshop, a follow-up summary report will be sent out
after the event with a further opportunity to comment and provide feedback on
the project's direction.
