SEIMA is the voice of the Environmental Industry in Saskatchewan. We provide networking, communication and educational opportunities to our members, and our goal is to foster the growth of Saskatchewan’s environmental sector through promotion and support of our members and their operations.

Registration is now open for the 3rd Biennial SMA Environmental Forum. Register HERE to attend the SMA Environmental Forum 2018.

Dates

    • October 16, 2018 – 1 or 2 workshops
      • Weed ID/Management workshop (Joint Presentation by Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan and ECCC – hosted by BHP at their Saskatoon office)
      • Emergency Response Workshop (Presentation/exercise by GFL at a member site – TBD)
    • October 16, 2018 - Welcome reception in the afternoon/evening
    • October 17, 2018 - Environmental Forum Day 1
    • October 18, 2018 – Environmental Forum Day 2
Location
    • Saskatoon Inn, Saskatoon 
    • The SMA has negotiated a block room rate of $139 ($30 below their normal rack rate) but there are only 50 rooms available at this price….please reference the Saskatchewan Mining Association Environmental Forum 2018 when making reservations. Reserve quickly to get this preferred rate.

The 2018 SMA Environmental Forum will be a technical conference (concurrent sessions) over two full days. The event will be open to SMA members, government and environmental professionals (consultants/lawyers).  It will take place at the Saskatoon Inn.  Registration fees are $400 +GST for SMA members and government employees and $600 + GST for all other participants.  University affiliated presenters (e.g. University Professors) are required to register but there is no fee associated with their registration.

Based on attendance at the past two forums we are currently expecting 200-250 people to attend this event.

We also hope that many of you will submit abstracts for consideration. Just a reminder that abstracts must be e-mailed to Brad no later than Tuesday May 22, 2018.
