SaskEnergy Environmental Industry Leadership Award
The Environmental Industry Leadership Award is typically presented at
SEIMA’s signature annual event. The 2011 award will be presented at
EnerCan West, in Regina, in February 2012.
The Award:
The prestigious Environmental Industry Leadership Award (The EILA) recognizes the contribution of a company or individual who, over the previous year, provided significant and recognizable leadership and development of the environmental industry in Saskatchewan. Through this award, SEIMA’s goal is to raise the awareness of the value of the environmental industries to the economy of Saskatchewan.
Nomination and Judging Criteria:
The following criteria must be met in order for the selection committee to review a
nomination.
- The nominee must be a Saskatchewan based company or individual working in the environmental industry sector
- The nominee has a reputation consistent with SEIMA’s vision and mission and is actively involved in responsible environmental management and operational practices in Saskatchewan
- The nominee demonstrates actions which have enhanced and raised the profile of the environmental industry within Saskatchewan
Nominations can be made by any individual or company, and should consist of a
summary statement of up to two pages (or 500 words) based on criteria developed by the awards committee. Nomination of an individual or company that participates on the awards committee will require that they step down from the committee and a replacement named. The awards committee will determine the award recipient and make a recommendation to the SEIMA Board which will approve the award.
The recipient will receive:
- A plaque or trophy and certificate
- A one year SEIMA membership
- Promotion on SEIMA’s website, newsletter and other media
