      <description>The Ministry of Environment is responsible for ensuring Saskatchewan maintains a high level of environmental quality, ensuring sustainable development, and provision of economic and social benefits for present and future generations. To aid in our role, we are seeking a multi-talented individual with strong technical and leadership skills to fill the position of Manager, Potash and Central Operations in the Industrial Branch. Preferred headquarter location for this position is Saskatoon. Alternate location may be considered.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This position manages and implements licensing and compliance programs to minimize environmental effects arising from operating and proposed mining, and industrial developments. A major focus of this position will be potash mining but will also include the oil and gas sector, forest industry activities, petroleum refining and upgrading as well as other components associated with air quality program operations and miscellaneous industry activities primarily in the central region of the province. You will be responsible for implementation of Environmental Protection Legislation and Regulations having a significant impact on mining and industrial activity in the province.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You will represent the Ministry on inter-agency committees and develop and maintain effective relations with Federal and Provincial agencies, First Nations and Métis groups, industry and the public.
